Whisper Weekly
With generator powered welfare units dominating the market, Kabco Products - then called Elstons, developed a battery system to satisfly the new demand for environmentally friendly power.
As its name suggests, the Whisper Weekly was designed to offer power during a working week, before being brought back to a depot over the weekend for a recharge.
The power system consisted of four batteries offering 500 amp hours of power. The large bank of batteries was necessary at the time as there few products on the market to ensure more efficient power consumption.
The product proved to be a success with local authorities although it did not allow for over usage and operator neglect.
